EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members on a crime-prevention operation arrested a man found in possession of possible drug ingredients worth more than R16 000.
Kobeli Mokheseng, the EMPD spokesperson, said the suspect was arrested on September 28 in Primrose.

“The 38-year-old man appeared nervous when he was approached and searched by officers on Oak Avenue. Forty-four zip lock bags and one medium plastic pack, containing a white powder with artificial sugar substances valued at R15 600, a portable digital scale and R920 cash, were found in his possession.
“He was taken to Primrose Police Station and faces charges of possession and possible dealing in illicit substances. The suspect will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Mokheseng.
