A shootout ended with three suspects arrested for a business break-in and theft at a filling station on the corner of Main and Scorpia roads in Fishers Hill recently.

According to Primrose SAPS communications officers Sgt Styles Maome, the complainant said he received a call from his petrol attendant who stays at a flat near the business, at around midnight.

“The business owner drove to the filling station and found two police vehicles. The police explained to the complainant that while patrolling they noticed that the premises were broken into,” said Maome.

The officer added that when suspects saw the police they jumped into two cars and sped off.

“Police cornered a black Peugeot which crashed into a wall in Primrose East during a shootout and chase,” said the officer.

The other vehicle managed to get away.
