JRA begins resurfacing M2

The resurfacing of two lanes of the highway commenced on November 5.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has begun resurfacing a section of the M2 highway between the Geldenhuys and Crown interchanges.

The resurfacing of two lanes of the highway commenced on November 5.

It is estimated that the project will be completed on March 31.

According to JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla, provisions will be made that resurfacing operations take place between 7pm to 5am.

“The project will be put on hold from December 15 to January 10. We are expecting traffic congestion on the freeway networks and appeal to motorists to be patient during this period,” he said.
