Rand Water helps to improve skills of Jupiter community members
The courses were first-aid level one, hazard identification and risk assessment, pipe laying and prepare and precast block paving.
Community members from Ward 36 in Germiston received 52 certificates after they completed courses facilitated by Rand Water recently. The courses were first-aid level one, hazard identification and risk assessment, pipe laying and prepare and precast block paving.
Ward 36 Clr Wendy Morgan said Rand Water was laying new water pipelines in the Jupiter area and as part of the project a socio-economic development programme was held for unemployed members of the community.
The members were identified and participated in the training.

“I hope these certificates will enable community members to find better employment opportunities. Thank you to the Rand Water team for facilitating the training,” said Morgan.
Some of the officials who assisted in making the programme happen were Lithole Ndamulelo from A and P Civils Trading, safety officer on-site Tsholofelo Jantjies, and socio-economic development liaison from Rand Water Rachel Binda.
