Primrose SAPS arrested a 31-year-old suspect for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm at Marathon informal settlement in Primrose on April 25. Primrose SAPS communications officer Sgt Styles Maome said a complainant alleged he was with a friend at his home when they noticed an African male entering the yard.
“He started insulting them without any provocation. They asked him why he was doing that and he told one of them to leave because he is not paying rent. “The accused started throwing bricks at them and both friends were injured.”
Maome added the following day the injured pair went to the hospital and were discharged. “They then opened a case at the police station.”
