Tshimolloho sports club needs helping hands
“We have talented youngsters who need to be offered the opportunity or have the platform to showcase their talent,” said Mtambo.
Tshimolloho Netball and Football Club requires donations for sporting equipment.
The club was founded by Norma Mtambo, who is passionate about helping youngsters and working with them through sports.
“Children and the youth need people who believe in them and are willing to assist them. I saw a need in my area that children had nothing to do and were just roaming around. But with sports, they now have something to work towards,” said Mtambo.
The club was formed in 2017 to develop the youth, keep them off the streets and create a healthy environment for empowerment.

“The team caters to the youth of Ekurhuleni. I wanted to have something they can be proud to be part of. We have talented youngsters who need to be offered the opportunity or have the platform to showcase their talent,” said Mtambo.
She said her goal is to reach high-performance levels and get a chance to compete in prestigious sporting events.
“We want to produce the best of Ekurhuleni. We want to be one of the greatest teams in Ekurhuleni, South Africa and possibly the world,” said Mtambo.
She said for the team to reach its potential it needs sponsors.
“Covid-19 had put a strain on companies, but we are pleading with companies and individuals to assist where they can. We can manage to gather some items like team gear, ball poles, but we still need other things,” said Mtambo.
The team needs the following: netball kits for u-13s and u-18s, soccer kits for u-13s and u-18s, netball and soccer balls, netball and soccer training equipment, netball and soccer poles and financial support.
She said development is challenging because some players can’t afford equipment but have the passion and talent.
“We want every player to have all the right gear, that way their focus is on working on their skills and not worrying about not having soccer boots,” said Mtambo.
