Suspect arrested for possession of stolen property
Elsburg police were patrolling Nitrogen Street, Buhle Park, on June 19 when they came across a 30-year-old man pushing a trolley loaded with tools. Elsburg police were patrolling Nitrogen Street, Buhle Park, on June 19 when they came across a 30-year-old man pushing a trolley loaded with tools.
Because the man was outside during curfew, police stopped to search what he was carrying and ask why was he walking around during curfew.
According to Elsburg SAPS spokesperson Daphney Phooko, police discovered five scaffolding pieces and spades in the trolley.

“The suspect was asked where was he is from and where was he going.
“He lied to police and said he is taking his tools to build in Phase Three of Buhle Park with his brother,” said Phooko.
Police proceeded with him to his brother’s place to confirm this.
“On arrival at his brother’s place, the brother confirmed it was his brother but the tools he had in his possession he knows nothing about and none of them are builders,” said Phooko.
The suspect was arrested and appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday to face charges of possession of suspected stolen property.
