Firefighters respond to blaze in Wadeville

Firefighters from several fire stations responded to a blaze at a factory yard off Wadeville Road in Wadeville.
The blaze apparently started at around 13:30 when recycling plastic in the yard caught fire. The official cause of the fire is not yet determined.
According to William Ntladi, spokesperson for EMS, the blaze was mostly stopped by 15:00 through a process of wetting down the plastic to prevent the spread of the fire. The fire was officially distinguished at 16:00.

Seven firetrucks from Wadeville, Hlatsi, Thokoza and Vosloorus responded to the blaze. Twenty-eight emergency personnel attended to the fire, including three station managers and four shift managers.
No one was injured in the fire.
