Man arrested for possession of an unlicensed gun and bribery

A suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and bribery.

According to Germiston SAPS Maxwell Mabunda was arrested during a police patrol in the Germiston area.

“Police members were patrolling at the early hours of the morning of July 29. At 04:30 they noticed a white quantum at Junction Road and they stopped the car.

“Officers asked to search the vehicle and found one pistol, nine live ammunition rounds, one magazine and the driver tried to bribe the police with R2 750,” said Mabunda.
