Women’s Month: Nokuthula is passionate about empowering others

The foundation empowers women, which entails multiple programmes for women, raising our youth, supporting NGOs and mentorship.

August is Women’s Month, and we are paying tribute to the thousands who marched in 1956.

It is also a tribute to the pioneers of the women’s movements in this country, dating back to 1913.

Women continue to play vital roles in society through the impactful work they do in their businesses, place of work and even NPOs.

This week we celebrate Nokuthula Ndlovu, a mother of five who is passionate about empowering young people.

She is the founder of Limit Breakers Global Foundation, an NPO that empowers and provides access to mentorship, education and global empowerment programmes to those within previously disadvantaged communities.

The foundation was established in 2008 but formalised in 2016.

“I’m guided by my faith and passion for humanity and love for God. The foundation is a Christian facilitation platform and network which caters to young girls and boys, as well as women,” said Nokuthula.

She said the support of her husband and children inspires her every day to continue doing her work because love can inspire.

“Through the foundation, we help young people to plan and build their future via exposure to opportunities they would not be exposed to otherwise,” said Nokuthula.

She said the foundation serves Ekurhuleni and surrounding areas and has grown.

“We now serve globally. As we have grown in the work we do and we would love to achieve sustainability in the programmes that we do, we want empowerment to be converted to commercial value to our beneficiaries,” said Nokuthula.

She is motivated by investing in relationships and serving with authenticity.
