Elsburg SAPS members are investigating a case of theft after a security officer arrested one man on Dekema Road in Wadeville.
Elsburg SAPS members are investigating a case of theft after a security officer arrested one man on Dekema Road in Wadeville.
A security officer told police he was working night shift on August 20 when he noticed two people on the premises, carrying steel.
“A chase ensued and the culprits dropped the steel goods and fled. The security officer arrested one man,” said Sgt Daphney Phooko, Elsburg SAPS communications officer.

Phooko said in a separate incident police arrested two men for possession of suspected stolen property on Guthrie Road in Cruywagen Park.
“Elsburg police officers were conducting crime prevention duties when they noticed two men walking along the street, carrying bags. They were approached and the bags were searched. Two computer monitors were found. Neither of the men could produce a receipt or tell the police where they got the computer screens from,” said Phooko.
They were both arrested for possession of suspected stolen property.
