Katlehong NPO receives food donations and more
A Katlehong orphanage received food parcels, educational material, sports equipment and toys to the orphanage on September 14.
The Beast Foundation and World Sports Betting teamed up to lend a helping hand and bring hope to the children of Fountain of Love Orphanage in Tshongweni Section, Katlehong.
On September 14, the two organisations donated food parcels, educational material, sports equipment and toys to the orphanage.
The Katlehong-based orphanage was established in 2003. It is a home for over 60 children, from newborns to 17-year-olds.
The orphanage is the only one that remains operational in the community. It works with Katlehong North SAPS to accommodate lost children while police work around the clock to reunite them with their families.
The founder of Fountain of Love, Rosey Mthembu, said they are blessed and thankful to The Beast Foundation and World Sports Betting for their generous donation.

She said the past couple of months have been hard for her and her children, especially after the recent unrests and looting that took place in the township.
“The unrest left us worried because some of the big retailers who usually helped us with groceries and food had their stores closed down,” said Mthembu.
The Beast Foundation’s nutrition outreach programme will assist in providing much-needed support to many orphanages and communities around South Africa and aims not only to donate food but also learning material that will assist young people with their cognitive development.
“It has been a very challenging few months for many communities across the country as a result of the recent violent unrests that left many people displaced and unemployed. As The Beast Foundation, we desire to restore hope and uplift the spirits of those affected,” said the founder of The Beast Foundation, Tendai ‘Beast’ Mtawarira.
“To the young people at Fountain of Love, I would like to say they should not stop dreaming big and they must know that organisations like ours exist to unlock opportunities for them so they can become successful.”
Marketing head at World Sports Betting Ryno du Plessis said they are grateful to The Beast Foundation for partnering with them to assist the orphanage.
“We believe it is the responsibility of every corporate organisation to assist people like Mthembu to make a difference in our communities and give young people a home,” said du Plessis.
