Liverpool sets sight on the crown

Liverpool unbeaten run lends them the GLFA title

Liverpool Development FC may just make history after the squad snatched both titles in the Germiston Local Football Association League’s u-17 and u-15 categories.

The u-17 team is sitting at the top of the league with 43 points and the second on the log table is Last Warning with 25 points.

Lucky Muthele, Liverpool Development FC head coach, said there are three games left to complete all 18 games of the season and they are comfortably sitting in the first position.
GCN previously reported that the team is hopeful to win the league unbeaten.

The coach said based on the calculations of the points accumulated and considering the remaining games, they are confident that they’ll claim glory.

“The question remains, will we win the league unbeaten? It would be nice to do so,” said Muthele.

“Our u-15 team is sitting in the second spot with 29 points after 12 games. The log leaders, ST Frusquin, is at number one with 39 points and one game left.

“If we win all our games, we will accumulate 18 points, plus 29 points will mean we lead the table and be declared champions,” said Muthele.
