Thokoza SAPS media liaison officer Capt Buyisile Mvelase praised the members for consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and going above and beyond their normal assigned duties by selflessly supporting the mission of the departments through their professional contributions.

She said the role of the police in any community is worth appreciating.

“Police officers are there for the safety and security of the community at all times. Such commendable efforts on the side of the police deserve to be appreciated,” said Mvelase.

The station commander of Thokoza SAPS, Col Dirk Badenhorst, honoured SAPS members with certificates of appreciation for their commitment during 2021.

At least 11 SAPS and four EMPD officers received certificates of appreciation from Badenhorst.

“No words can ever express how proud I am as the station commander to hand over these certificates to you. It is important for you to know that your good deeds and excellent work for making sure that the community of Thokoza feels safe does not go unnoticed,” said Badenhorst.
