Rand Water has warned the community to not fall for an online microloan scheme that uses its name.

According to spokesperson for Rand Water, Justice Mohale, the so-called Rand Water microloan scheme is advertised on certain social media platforms.

“Rand Water distances itself from this false advertising and advises all consumers to be alert to such practices, as it does not offer micro-loan facilities,” said Mohale.
