Placed as a media prefect early in life, Singh became intrigued by the fascinating world of fictional fantasy.
“The book tells a story of a contemporary and young Deka Kollo who is trying to find her way through a flawed society with annoying generational issues. Kollo has to accept a tradition both her parents never engaged on,” said Singh.
“As much as her snappy displays centred around facts, regret crept in. The Kollo customs and its erratic rules shouldn’t matter, for her path was set and cemented miles away from ancient beliefs and its ridiculous onuses.
“True Self is a thrilling supernatural suspense story that will keep you hooked from start to end,” said Singh.
Readers have been giving positive reviews on the author’s website.
Among the reviewers is Amanda Pretorius, a library coordinator who gave her an online review of the book and said she was impressed by the novel considering the fact that it is the author’s first book.
“The story was captivating. The different storylines surprised me and I was kept in suspense till the end.”
