Knife confiscated from local school

Ekurhuleni Local Drug Action Committee, Ekupholeni and Youth Desk members visited Titus Tuus Independent School in Primrose on March 15.

Primrose SAPS corporate communications officer Sgt Styles Maome said the purpose was to discourage learners from bringing illegal substances to school.
“We want to promote a safer learning environment for all. Ezra Senyatsi, a social worker from Ekupholeni NGO, and Primrose victim empowerment engaged with the learners,” said Maome.
Her sentiments were echoed by Lwazi Zungu of Primrose youth desk who warned the learners about bullying.
“A search was conducted and one knife and a couple of cigarettes were confiscated from learners. The station commander Col Eunice Nzuza commended the police for keeping learners safe at schools,” said Maome.
