Libraries now open one Saturday a month
Libraries within the City of Ekurhuleni will be offering library services every second Saturday of the month.
“We have received several requests about the opening of libraries on Saturday and are pleased to inform the public that the library will now be open every second Saturday of the month from 08:00 until 13:00,” said Karin Muller, head of libraries and information services in the City.
Muller stated that although the opening is once a month, it is a great start to providing a better and satisfactory service to residents.
Communities are urged to continue using library facilities and parents are urged to register their children as library patrons and take advantage of the children’s section and instil the culture of reading from an early age.
