“SPCA does amazing work. The staff members put in long hours to care for the animals. This donation will give them one less thing to worry about and channel the funds to other needs,” said Soares.
UmVuzo donated 36 bags of dog food, 20kg each, worth R10 000.
Soares said the SPCA has been going through difficult times with Covid-19 and the branch has been struggling to receive donations.
“The SPCA are often the first responders in service to animals. Even with the shortage of resources, they always ensure they attend to the best of their ability to the animals.
The SPCA thanked the donor and founder of UmVuzo, Juan Meyer.
