“We are humbled, as the community is always willing to step up and want to take part. This clean-up was no different, as young and old joined,” said Lamdel chairperson Jakkie Janse van Vuuren.
Youth volunteers were invited to join and received acknowledgement.
The group cleaned the pavements outside Hout Park and the open areas at the corner of Cachet and Whitford roads, as well as South Rand Road.

“When a community works together, great things can be achieved. We are inviting more youth to get involved.
We are grateful to the Bull family for sponsoring a team of workers, tools and equipment, refreshments, vehicles and for the removal of the rubbish,” said Janse van Vuuren.
She also gave special thanks to Eldon Dicks, who joined the clean-up.
“At 70, he is still willing and passionate about working hard for the community,” said Janse van Vuuren.
