Local star makes it to top 10 in SAMA28 awards
Haksul Muziq has made the Alberton community proud by being in the top ten in the SAMPRA Artist of the Year category of the South Africa Music Awards.
The future keeps on shining brighter for Haksul Muziq as he has been nominated for the South African Music Awards (SAMA28) top 10 in his category.
He was nominated in the SAMPRA Artist of the Year category among some other big artists such as A-Reece, Musa Keys, Makhadzi, Emtee, and Young Stunna.
The Artist of the Year award was first presented in 2021 and honours artists who, in the opinion of the general public, entertained fans the most over the previous year.
Tokoloho Mavuso, widely known as Haksul Muziq, was raised in Palmridge, his hometown, where his love and passion for music blossomed.
Haksul Muziq said that the love he receives from his fans where some of them do not even know him personally but keep supporting his work serves as reassurance that he is indeed doing the right thing.
“I truly don’t have enough words to express how thankful I am to my supporters and fans. I sincerely appreciate the support and it shows me that everything is possible on planet earth as long as one believes in what you are doing,” he said.
The local star recently dotted his i’s and crossed his t’s with the Connect Content Africa for three years recording deal.
The SAMA28 awards were postponed from July 31 to August 28.
The reports surfaced following the initial announcement of the Record of the Year, Music Video of the Year and SAMPRA Artist of the Year nominees.
“I still plead with everyone to support and vote for me as to bring the award home and take our community to the next level through telling local stories through music,” Haksul Muziq said.
