Local residents receive more than 400 title deeds

After being given their homes in 2017, residents of Palmridge Extension 9 received their title deeds in September.

Residents of Palm Ridge recently received 460 title deeds from the City of Ekurhuleni.

The City of Ekurhuleni is stepping up the distribution of title deeds to city residents as this most recent development is a supplement to the 1 110 title deeds that were distributed in the same area on July 20.

Among the 460 persons who obtained homeownership were visually challenged Isaiah Mokoena (86) and Samuel Mthethwa (76).

“Now I safely and confidently say that I own my house. Thanks to the government for making this a reality,” said Samuel.

With a title deed as confirmation of their status as lawful residents, residents of the Palm Ridge housing project have seen a noticeable increase in their quality of life since the project’s launch in 2016.

There are now 2 772 residential stands assigned to beneficiaries in the township. The legitimate homeowners will continue to receive more title deeds.
