One suspect is still at large for Leondale shooting
After the shooting at the Leondale Garage on April 14, Alberton SAPS arrested four suspects. After appealing for bail, the two males and two women suspects received a rejection.
Four people have been detained in connection with the April 14 shooting at the Leondale garage.
Alberton SAPS requests the public to help them catch the fifth suspect.
Three individuals were shot during the event. One was confirmed dead at the scene and brought to the government mortuary, while two were transported to the hospital by a local ambulance.
According to captain Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, the arrests serve as a warning.
“Any suspects who may still be at large but are involved in illegal activities should be aware that the police are after them and they will be apprehended eventually,” said Ramotshela.
The getaway vehicle and a 9mm handgun used by the suspected perpetrators were presented to the police station as proof.
