Palm Ridge court hears Eden Park murder accused mom’s case

During Joanne Swartbooi’s appearance, the magistrate announced that should there be no substantive reasons why investigations are not yet complete.

Eden Park mother Joanne Swartbooi, accused of murdering her boyfriend, will reappear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s court on December 15.

She appeared on October 28 where her court case saw another postponement, amid arguments on delays of ongoing investigations into this matter.

Should these delays still occur, the accused’s matter will possibly be struck off the roll as per the magistrate’s statement during her appearance.

The mother of three faces a charge of murder after being accused of killing her boyfriend, Timothy Jacobs, with a baseball bat and burning his body.

Swartbooi’s case was postponed and will be heard at Palm Ridge’s Regional Court 2 on December 15.

She remains in custody after she was denied bail and she has since denied all allegations against her.
