Eden Park community enjoys Youth Day in a unique way

The community of Eden Park enjoyed their Youth Day by hosting a two-day event which saw over a two thousand individuals.

Over 2000 people enjoyed Youth Day in Eden Park on June 16.

This follows a joint partnership between political parties, churches, NPOs, businesses, schools, entrepreneurs, artists, youth groups, pastors, sports clubs, and the members of the community.

I Matter NPO coach Natalie Abrahams said that this two-day event was a plan of many great minds that saw the need to invite all members of the local community and spend the Youth Day together.

“We had the opportunity to witness how amazing it is when our community is united. Real-life stories from recovered addicts were shared with the community to bolster the fight against social illnesses,” said Natalie.

The event saw acts of live performances, poetry reading, spiritual dances, and success stories shared by local members.

Councillor of the ward, Dino Peterson, thanked everyone for making the weekend a success.

“I want to thank and appreciate everyone who painted the day to be beautiful. It honestly exceeded all of my expectations, and people should know that there is so much good happening in the surrounding, but we are in the silos. It is time we celebrate and highlight the good and also praise God for his mercy over Eden Park,” said Dino.

Over 150 dignity packs were handed to both men and women who needed them.
