The Germiston Fire Brigade celebrated Heritage Day on the last Friday of September with a vibrant event held at the historic Germiston Central Fire Station on Angus Street, Ekurhuleni.

Officially opened in 1936, the old fire station has a rich history rooted in firefighting culture.

The celebration showcased this heritage by featuring vintage firefighting equipment alongside displays that highlighted the diverse cultural backgrounds of the brigade’s personnel.
