SAPS arrest armed suspect during Dukathole patrol
Police found a gun with seven bullets on a man during a stop-and-search in Germiston’s Sector 2. He faces charges for illegal firearm possession.
Germiston SAPS Crime Prevention Unit was on patrol in Dukathole, Sector 2, when they stopped and searched a man in Young Street.
The search yielded a black pistol with seven live rounds of ammunition on July 22.
Kumbi was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

He was detained at Germiston SAPS and will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
“Colonel MD Tsheoga appreciated the good work done by the team and said this means the Germiston community is safer,” said corporate communications officer for Germiston SAPS, Sergeant Maxwell Mabunda.
