Primrose rapist sentenced to life imprisonment
A thorough investigation by the Germiston FCS led to a life sentence for a convicted rapist who attacked a woman in Primrose on December 26, 2022.
Thembalethu Dondolo has been sentenced to life imprisonment for rape and declared unfit to possess a firearm in terms of Section 103 of Act 69 of 2000.
This follows a thorough investigation led by Sergeant Ndanduleni Hendrick Mudau of the Germiston Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Units (FCS).
Mudau investigated this rape case in Primrose, where the victim alleged that on the morning of December 26, 2022, while entering her residence, she was attacked by Dondolo.

According to Sergeant Styles Maome, Primrose SAPS social crime coordinator, the victim claimed that Dondolo forced open the door and raped her while threatening her with a sharp object.
“The victim recognised the suspect as someone she used to see at a local park. She cooperated with the police and identified him,” said Maome.
Dondolo was later linked to the crime scene through DNA evidence. It was also revealed that he had previously been arrested twice for rape in Sterkspruit, Eastern Cape, in 2016 and 2018, for which he was convicted and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment.
On October 1, the 35-year-old was sentenced to life imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm under Section 103 of Act 69 of 2000.
“Primrose SAPS management commends Mudau for his hard work and dedication during the investigation.
