Ekurhuleni Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza is today (November 25) leading a high-impact by-law enforcement blitz in the Germiston CBD, backed by the EMPD and the SAPS.
The operation forms part of the mayor’s Renewal Agenda, which aims to restore order, improve safety, and strengthen law enforcement visibility in critical economic and public spaces across the city.

The blitz focuses on enforcing municipal by-laws to create a safer and more orderly CBD.
Officers are clamping down on illegal trading, checking permits, removing unlawful electricity connections, and working with the Department of Home Affairs to conduct immigration compliance checks.
