Local school gets second place in JSE Investment Challenge

Local learners excelled in the recent JSE Investment Challenge and walked away with second place.

The Saheti School’s Grade 11 learners Andreas Iacovou, Michael Spartinos, Sofonias Lawgaw and Cris Kassimatis, pictured with their accounting teacher Francois Vermaak, placed second in the JSE Investment Challenge (ETF ETN Portfolio) held recently.

They traded stocks and securities on the JSE schools platform, competing against other teams.

This was the 50th anniversary of the competition, with over 29 000 participants from high schools across the country.
