Children under the age of 5 have fun for free at Melville Koppies

In exciting news, children under the age of five will now get free entrance, making it an ideal outing for families.

Melville Koppies has introduced new entrance fees, adults will now pay R100 to explore nature.

Children under the age of 18 will continue to pay R50.

In exciting news, children under the age of five will now get free entrance, making it an ideal outing for families.

“Bring your U5’s friends and together they’ll enjoy exploring the Koppies and seeing if they can spot some of the Koppies’ treasures,” said Jenny Grice, Melville Koppies volunteer.

For those with longer and stronger legs, challenge yourselves on the self-guided 5km trail.

Don’t forget the 8km guided hike on the last Sunday of the month.

Alternatively, book a guided tour of about 3km on 079 532 0083 or get a brief taste of the Koppies’ history on the self-guided 3km heritage trail.

There’s even a scavenger hunt for those with exploring minds.

Security is provided and safe parking is available opposite the entrance to Melville Koppies at Marks Park Sports Club in Judith Road, Emmarentia.

All income is used for the maintenance of the Koppies.
