EMPD sets June 16 deadline for impounded vehicles

Owners must present the vehicle registration certificate, proof of ownership, and their identity document, along with payment of applicable pound fees.

The EMPD is urging members of the public whose vehicles have been impounded in the EMPD Pound (EMPD) to come forward and claim them within the specified dates, which are from May 15 to June 16, from 08:00 to 16:00.

Failure to claim the vehicles may result in their sale at a public auction, with the proceeds being dealt with as prescribed by Regulation 320(4) of the National Road Traffic Act (NRTA) No. 93 of 1996.
