Woman arrested in Germiston over stained money linked to stolen funds

EMPD Intervention Unit officers arrested a 46-year-old woman for having stolen property after acting on information about someone with stained money on May 20.

According to the EMPD, officers tracked her to Palmridge Court in the Germiston area, where they arrested her and took her to the Germiston Police Station for further investigation.

Absa Bank officials were waiting at the station to confirm if the woman was the person wanted in connection with stolen funds.

They confirmed she was the perpetrator, and she was officially charged.
