“The moment marked a shining milestone for the passionate dance school. It was more than just a performance. It was a moment of recognition. A moment where our dancers weren’t just showcasing their talent, they were representing every young dreamer in our area,” said Jakita Kapatos, owner of the school.

Je’ Danse School of Dance dazzled President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The performance was choreographed by none other than Lundi Sibanda, the school’s award-winning instructor, recently crowned South Africa’s best choreographer.

Known for his vibrant energy and visionary choreography, Sibanda has transformed Je’ Danse into a hub of discipline, creativity, and excellence.

“This moment proves what’s possible when our youth are given the space, the support, and the belief to shine. Our community should be proud, these dancers represented us all on a national stage,” said Sibanda.

The school hopes their recent success will inspire more community support for arts and youth programmes.

They also invite parents to consider enrolling their children in dance classes, not just for performance opportunities, but for the life skills, confidence, and camaraderie it brings.
