Germiston Simmer Rugby Club is gearing up for a day packed with rugby, fun, and community spirit as it will be hosting its big fundraising event on October 4.

Rugby fans will be treated to two thrilling international clashes broadcast live on the big screen: Australia vs New Zealand at 11:45, and Argentina vs South Africa at 15:00.

Supporters can gather to cheer on their teams, soak in the vibrant atmosphere, and enjoy a full day of entertainment.
But the event isn’t just about rugby, it’s about fun for the whole community. Attendees can test their luck in the “Find the Joker” game, where a lucky winner could walk away with R800.
A potjiekos competition will give local cooks a chance to show off their culinary skills, with a prize awaiting the tastiest dish.
There’s also a raffle with some unique prizes up for grabs, including a live sheep and two framed Lions jerseys, making it a perfect opportunity for rugby lovers and anyone looking for a bit of excitement.
Adding to the festive vibe, the event will feature a karaoke session, giving singers the spotlight and promising plenty of laughs and entertainment for spectators.
Event organiser Jennifer said the day promises to be “a fantastic mix of rugby, food, and fun, while also raising important funds for our year-end function.
“We’re excited to welcome the community and create a great day out for everyone.”
