Primrose CPF Sector 2 hosts fundraiser to support patrols
Residents backed a boerie roll sale and blood drive at Lily Pharmacy to help keep volunteer patrollers on the streets.
Primrose CPF Sector 2 recently hosted a successful fundraising event at Lily Pharmacy in Homestead.
The event drew strong support from residents and businesses alike.
The event, involving other stakeholders such as the South African National Blood Service (SANBS), Lily Pharmacy, and other local stakeholders, aimed to raise much-needed funds to sustain CPF operations.

A highlight of the day was the popular boerie wors campaign, where residents purchased wors rolls for R40 while also participating in a blood donation drive.

CPF Sector 2 chairperson Anna Marie Victor praised the turnout and urged the community for more support.
“The funds raised for the CPF will assist in keeping our patrollers on the streets as we are a voluntary organisation,” said Victor.
“The funds raised on the day will go to our operations. We are looking to buy new T-shirts for the volunteers. The blue ones they currently have have been used for over four years now.”
Victor noted that financial contributions have dwindled drastically, with monthly donations also dropping.
She also urged members of the community to come forth and join the organisation.
“We need more members, and each member patrols for 2-3 hours a week. We have seven teams that patrol once a week,” said Victor.
