The Primrose Bowls Club recently headed to the Germiston SPCA to deliver food donations for its furry residents.

The club mobilised residents and members to contribute to a much-needed dog food collection. The response from the Primrose community was nothing short of remarkable.

Residents came together in large numbers, donating generously to the cause, while the club offered its premises as a convenient drop-off point for contributions.

This collaborative effort made it easier for community members to participate and show their support.

Thanks to the united initiative, more than 40 bags of dog food were collected and officially handed over to the Germiston SPCA on Mandela Day, providing vital relief to the organisation as it continues caring for abandoned and rescued animals.

Club owner Jonny de Vasconcelos expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed, highlighting how small acts of kindness can make a significant impact when a community works together.

“This initiative serves as a reminder of the compassion within Primrose, proving that when it comes to caring for the most vulnerable, the community continues to show up and make a difference,” said De Vasconcelos.
