The gathering provided a welcoming space for the elderly to engage, ask questions and gain valuable information about cancer, while enjoying a morning of fellowship and shared learning.

“Cancer awareness remains important across all age groups, with education playing a vital role in helping people recognise potential warning signs and understand when to seek medical attention,” said centre manager Trudy.

“For the seniors at Rest-a-While, the event was an opportunity to focus on their well-being while strengthening the sense of community that the centre provides.”

The morning tea combined education with social interaction and some spoils, giving members an opportunity to connect while learning about an important health issue.
