The Germiston Stadium hosted the National Athletics Championships, organised by the Department of Education, recently.
Athletes from across the country came out in numbers to showcase their talents and represent their provinces.
All nine provinces were represented at the championships.
The events included, but were not limited to, shot put, discus, javelin and track and field events.
Parents, friends and the local community were also present at the championships, showing their support, cheering and encouraging athletes not to give up.
