Nippon Tigers win big in kata and kumite at SA Champs
The Nippon Tigers Shotokan Karate Club recently won big in two prestigious tournaments.
The Nippon Tigers Shotokan Karate Club in Castleview, part of the World Authority Traditional Karate-do Association and affiliated to the World Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association, recently took part in the Traditional Karate Tournament and the annual South African Championships.
The tournaments, organised by the World Authority Traditional Karate-do Association, were held in Lenasia.
The 12 members who represented the club achieved 27 medals for their participation in kata and kumite.
“I am proud of my club members for their wonderful characters, great passion and dedication to the art of karate,” said shihan Goran Stankovic.
