Elsburg Wrestling Club open their doors for new year
Elsburg Wrestling Club aims to hone and nurture young wrestling talent.
Wrestlers, coaches, officials, parents and club members of the Elsburg Wrestling Club were excited to get back to training.
The club, which has been a firm standing sports club within the Elsburg community for more than 60 years, reopened its doors for the new year, recently.

“During our first practice sessions of the year you could feel the new spirit among the old and new wrestlers,” said Joep Joubert, the club’s media liaison.
“The wrestlers practised with such enthusiasm and determination.
“We all are looking forward to a good year of wrestling.”
This year a new committee was elected to ensure that the club runs smoothly.
“We will be holding our first tournament of the year on February 7,” said Joubert.

The Hawks Tournament will take place at Raptors Wrestling Club, in Oak Avenue, Primrose East, from 6pm.
Elsburg Wrestling Club hopes to grow their club’s membership this year, and are calling on all interested parties to visit the club in Mare Street.
