Ekurhuleni West TVET College student excels in basketball and studies
Tiny Leboli combines speed, skill, and determination on the court with academic focus, representing Ekurhuleni West TVET College and earning selection for the Gauteng Ladies Provincial Team.
Meet Tiny Leboli, a 19-year-old small forward and shooting guard at Ekurhuleni West TVET College (EWC) whose name is quickly making waves on basketball courts.
True to her name, Tiny may be small in stature, but she’s a powerhouse on the court. She is lightning-fast, sharp-handed, and fearless.
Her agility often leaves defenders trailing as she dashes past them to score, and her shooting strength has made her a reliable three-pointer for the team.

Throughout the year, Tiny played a pivotal role in leading EWC’s basketball team to the finals of both the Gauteng League and the TVET Cup.

Her remarkable speed, energy, and skill caught the attention of selectors, earning her a place on the Gauteng Ladies Provincial Team.
During the 2025 COSACSA National Championships, hosted by the eThekwini Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal, Tiny delivered an outstanding performance that drew praise from the Duep Basketball Academy management and coaches from the King Cetshwayo Basketball Association.
“Off the court, Tiny remains humble and focused. Originally from Siluma Section, Katlehong, she began her basketball journey with her local club, the Katlehong Cougars, before enrolling at EWC to study Electrical Infrastructure and Construction,” said coach Seaparo Ramaube.
“Tiny is the epitome of the saying ‘dynamite comes in small packages’. “
Ekurhuleni West TVET College encourages young athletes like Tiny to combine sport with education.
By studying at EWC, students can pursue both their academic and sporting dreams.
