Sunnyridge-based Gloss Boxing World enters 2026 unbeaten and hungry for more

Based in Sunnyridge, Gloss Boxing World heads into 2026 unbeaten, with multiple titles, a growing youth roster, and founder Layten Gloss preparing for a return to the ring.

Gloss Boxing World steps into 2026 with renewed ambition, determined to build on a remarkable and undefeated 2025.

Based in Sunnyridge, at the Astron Petrol Station on Howe Circle, the gym has quickly become a force in local boxing and bare-knuckle combat.

Founded and run by professional boxer Layten Gloss, Gloss Boxing World opened its doors in February last year. What began as a personal training space soon evolved into a community-driven gym dedicated to developing young talent.

By the end of its first year, the club had already produced a strong stable of amateur and professional fighters, including multiple title holders in both boxing and bare-knuckle disciplines, which is an impressive milestone that reflects Gloss’ commitment to discipline, growth, and excellence.

September marked a major turning point when the gym hosted its first tournament on September 13. Every Gloss Boxing World athlete who stepped into the ring walked away with a victory. The night’s standout performance earned Jordan Cothill the RDG Fight of the Night honour.

To date, the gym boasts three boxing titles and two bare-knuckle titles. Currently, Gloss Boxing World is home to over 50 active members, breaking down the numbers to 20+ amateurs and seven professionals (four boxers and three bare-knuckle fighters).

On the amateur circuit, the team has already recorded a professional victory with over 40 undefeated fights. At a professional level, the team has already recorded a winning bout, setting the foundation for bigger achievements ahead.

Most of the fighters are between 15 and 17 years old, a critical age for development.

The focus goes beyond competition, with an emphasis on shaping disciplined athletes into responsible, grounded young adults.
Every athlete is personally trained by Gloss, who has witnessed their growth firsthand, inside and outside the ring.

After taking a year away from competing to focus on his students, family, and the growth of the gym, Gloss is ready to return to the ring. He is targeting a comeback fight in March, with the intent of leading from the front and setting the standard through action.

Gloss Boxing World enters the new year with titles and an undefeated streak.

“I’ve been in boxing my whole life as a coach, a fighter, and a student of the game. I believe I still have something special to show when I step back into that ring,” said Gloss.

Notable achievements and highlights include title holders such as Jordan Cothill (50kg RDG Tribute title) and Lionel Ngondo (58kg Titan Combat title and 56kg WCBL title), as well as the Gloss Boxing World Tribute Tournament, held in commemoration of Rick Rex.

“As 2026 begins, Gloss Boxing World stands not just as a gym, but as a growing legacy built on discipline, community, and an unwavering hunger to win,” said Gloss.
