Germiston Go-Getters dominate Ekurhuleni netball leagues
"This achievement reflects the hard work, discipline, and growth mindset embedded within our club culture," added Mitchell.
The 2025 season has marked a remarkable chapter in the journey of Germiston Go-Getters Netball Club.
Founded in November 2023 and launching its first official season in April 2024, the club has continued to grow from strength to strength, firmly establishing itself as a competitive and development-driven force within Region A.

Throughout 2025, the club demonstrated significant progress both on and off the court.
From improved performances across age groups to enhanced training structures and player development pathways, Germiston Go-Getters has showcased the power of strategic planning, passionate leadership, and a unified club culture.

“Young players have been nurtured, others emerged as leaders in the club, and the club’s vision for sustainable success has become increasingly tangible.
“As Germiston Go-Getters Netball Club continues its upward trajectory, the 2025 season stands as a testament to what can be achieved through clear vision, structured development, and unwavering dedication,” said team manager Louise Mitchell.
“Our U11 team secured an impressive second place in the Region A Development League, while the U13 team also achieved a strong second place finish. Building on this momentum, the U15 team delivered an outstanding performance, claiming first place in Region A.”
As regional champions, their U15’s earned the honour of representing Region A at the Ekurhuleni Champ of Champs, where the top teams from each region competed to determine the ultimate division winner in Ekurhuleni.
“This achievement reflects the hard work, discipline, and growth mindset embedded within our club culture,” added Mitchell.
“At the senior level, we are equally proud to celebrate individual excellence. Two of our Opens players were selected to represent Ekurhuleni U21 at the SPAR National Netball Championships in December at EG Jansen Stadium.
“Their selection is a testament not only to their talent, but also to the development pathway provided within the Go-Getters structure,” said Mitchell.

Mitchell said, looking ahead to 2026, their vision remains clear: continued growth and sustained excellence.
“Our U11 and U13 teams will be working determinedly towards securing first-place finishes, while our U15’s aim to defend their regional title.
“We are also excited about our emerging Opens players, who turn 16 this year and will be trialling for the Soncini Cohesion Games, another opportunity to showcase the rising talent within our club.
“From humble beginnings to regional champions in just two seasons, Germiston Go-Getters continues to live out its mission – developing players, building character, and creating opportunities through netball. Our future is bright, and we are just getting started,” said Mitchell.
The club also walked away with two awards at the Ekurhuleni Netball Association Awards and Gala Dinner, winning the heart of service and female game day glam awards.
