Moroka Swallows draw 1–1 with Next Eleven in Germiston

Germiston local football association Super League kicks things off on the weekend.

Moroka Swallows Development hosted newcomers Next Eleven East Academy in the Germiston Local Football Association Super League on March 1.

The visitors surprised many supporters by holding the favourites to a 1–1 draw at the Germiston Sports Centre.

Tshepang Hlahane opened the scoring early for Swallows, while Keketso Sonyoni later equalised for Next Eleven East Academy.

In other matches, Ekurhuleni City defeated Falcons Soccer Club 3–0, while Georgetown and City United played to a 2–2 draw.

Castleview and Germiston Academy also shared the spoils with a 1–1 result.

MM Young Lions secured a high-scoring 8–3 victory over TKZee, Bedford Juniors beat EN Fuego 6–0, and Kitoko Soccer School edged Bushan 1–0.

Ksultan Academy won a close encounter against Toss FC 4–3, while ST Frusquin claimed a 1–0 win over Mojo City.
