Fundraiser launched for 10-year-old kickboxing star Evan du Plessis

Young kickboxing talent Evan du Plessis has qualified for the Kickboxing World Championships and is appealing for community support to help cover travel and competition costs.

The community is being called on to support Evan du Plessis, a talented 10-year-old kickboxing athlete who has qualified to represent South Africa at the Kickboxing World Championships.

Evan’s qualification is a remarkable achievement and reflects the countless hours he has dedicated to training and competing.

His success is a testament to his hard work, discipline, and determination at such a young age.

However, as with many young athletes competing on an international stage, the costs associated with travel, accommodation, and competition expenses are significant.

“Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help bring Evan one step closer to proudly representing South Africa on the world stage.

“As part of the fundraising efforts, supporters can also participate in a raffle with an exciting prize hamper up for grabs. The raffle tickets are R25 each or two for R40. The date is set for July 30,” said Nicole.

Community members and businesses are encouraged to support Evan and help this promising young athlete pursue his dream of competing among the world’s best kickboxers. For more information or to contribute, contact his mother Nicole on 081 407 4269.
