Unleash the party this New Year’s Eve

Enjoy a fun and free New Year’s Eve party.

A free New Year’s Eve party, CAN DO! WOZA 2015, is taking place at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, Johannesburg on December 31 and it is sure to start the new year off with a bang – a party not to be missed!

The event will be televised live on “Come Duze” on SABC 1 from 9.30pm to 12.30am, sharing the festivities with over 1.5 million viewers who will be bringing in the New Year in true CAN DO! style.

CAN DO!, Nampak Bevcan’s consumer facing brand, will host the free can-only concert together with SABC 1, SAB Miller, the Gauteng Province Department of Sports, Arts and Recreation and the City of Johannesburg.

Partygoers will be treated to South Africa’s hottest talent, including top musicians, DJs and television personalities.

Performances by the likes of Tuks, iFani, DJ Clock, HHP, Mandoza, Mdu, Kelly Khumalo, Doc Shebeleza, Winnie Khumalo, Arthur, DJ AJ, Chomee, Zola and Ishmael are guaranteed to keep the summer celebrations going.

The New Year’s party also marks the end of CAN DO! Summer, a host of free concerts embodying the vibrant life of South Africa’s next generation in truly South African style.

This year, up to 15 000 partygoers were kept entertained at each CAN DO! Summer event and the WOZA 2015 New Year party promises to be even bigger.

“Locals are ensured a safe, fun and free environment to celebrate the New Year, with a large police presence at the event each year,” said Alexandra Bouwer, marketing manager for Nampak Bevcan’s CAN DO! brand.

For the past two years, crime and related incidents in the city decreased considerably thanks to the annual WOZA New Year party and we look forward to another incident free event.

“Through these events, we aim to motivate the youth to adopt a CAN DO! attitude, while creating a safe environment to have a good time,” said Arthur Mafokate, South Africa’s kwaito king.

“We invite our fans to follow us on Twitter @choosecando and to tweet their experiences throughout the night.

“Remember to use #ComeDuze2014, #ChooseCans, #Woza2015 and #CANDOSummer to get them trending in South Africa.”

Partygoers are encouraged to bring their own beverages in cans and celebrate the New Year in style.

No persons under the age of 18 will be permitted and no bottles are allowed at the concert.
