The recent Thokoza karate tournament may have come and gone, by the excitement it has generated for the sport in the local community will last for a very long time.

More than 500 participants took part in the tournament, which saw teams from as far as Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Botswana and Swaziland flock to the Thokoza Auditorium for what has become an annual event in the local sporting calendar.

The results saw the women under 45 division led by Princess Mbojwa in first place and Mbali Msomi, Tomatoma Lungiswa and Sharloen Amoda taking second, third and fourth places respectively.
