Marno van der Merwe to have fans swooning at Afrikaans Karnaval
Don't miss out on an evening of great Afrikaans music.
With just a few weeks to go until Marno van der Merwe and several other top South African artists take to the stage of the Big Top Arena at Carnival City, fans are urged to move fast and book tickets to this show on March 25.
The handsome, multi-talented performer, Marno van der Merwe, has been conquering the hearts of fans across the country since the start of his career and will, no doubt, do the same at Afrikaans Karnaval, Carnival City’s all-new Afrikaans musical spectacular.
Van der Merwe sings, acts, performs in theatre productions and has been seen on television, acting in Hartland, Pretville the film Die Ballade van Robbie de Wee, Roer Jou Voete, Sterlopers and recently became the presenter of KykNET’s reality programme, Varsity Sing, which is something that he is very excited about.
Although he loves acting, singing has always his first love and last year his childhood dream became a reality when he released his solo album O My Liefde.
“The music is easy to listen to and touches people emotionally,” said van der Merwe about this album.
Fans can look forward to hearing him perform his own rendition of the Steve Hofmeyr hit, “Deur jou Vingers”, as well as “Jy Sal Oorwin”, “Uitverkoop Aan Ons” and many other favourites.
Be sure to catch van der Merwe live on stage as he gets the crowd going with his bubbly stage personality, unique voice, catchy rhythms and unforgettable songs.
This celebration of Afrikaans music takes place at 6pm, but doors to the venue open at 5pm.
