Entries for MITBP now open
Miss Icon Teen Beauty Pageant (MITBP) will be held in the Thokoza Auditorium on October 6.
Getrude Tseki, the organiser, said MITBP is an initiative targeted towards empowering girl-children, especially from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
“MITBP is aimed towards personal development of teenage models, improving their confidence, improving their communication skills, handling of stress and disappointments, social media skills (will learn what is good and bad to post on social media), marketing and negotiation skills (grooming to be good business negotiators), networking, financial skill and realities of beauty pageants in general,” said Tseki.
She said MITBP is trading as the company Pal Mic Projects (Pty) Ltd with the registration number 2016/486855/07.
Girls between the age of 13 and 19 can enter the competition. The details of the pageant are as follow:
• Registration due date: June 30
• Date of the pageant: October 6
• Venue: The Thokoza Auditorium
• Tickets cost: R150 per person.
• Prizes: First prize R5 000, second prize R3 000 and the third prize is R2 000.
